<p>Treating Acne with Topical Products</p>
<p>If you walk into the acne treatment aisle at your local drug store, you<br />
are likely to find a wide range of products that are designed to help<br />
you. There are many that are creams, lotions, pads and all sorts of<br />
other products. Yet, one thing is for sure. You will be overwhelmed<br />
with which ones you should be choosing. Some that you may want to<br />
consider are the topical products for treating acne. There are many of<br />
these too, but understanding what they are and how they work will allow<br />
you to make the best choice for your acne. They can help to prevent acne<br />
too.</p>
<p>Most of the over the counter types of topical creams that you can use<br />
will have Benzyl peroxide in them. This is like a mild type of bleach<br />
product that is safe to use on your skin. The product needs to be used<br />
regularly and will help to prevent new acne formations from happening.<br />
You should always use them according to the directions that are provided<br />
by the manufacturer. Generally, they will be applied to the face or<br />
affected area twice per day. This is usually done once in the morning<br />
and once before bed. It is rubbed right into the skin so that it<br />
penetrates the pores. This will help you because it will kill P. Acnes,<br />
which is the type of bacteria that gets into your pores and created acne. </p>
<p>Using these products does have its advantages. Unlike using antibiotics,<br />
products with benzyl peroxide actually is stronger than them and does not<br />
allow for any resistance. When using these products, though, you may<br />
feel that your skin is becoming dry or even that there is added redness<br />
to it. You may experience irritation as well. To help this, you can<br />
often find non oil based moisturizers to help you.</p>
<p>Using these products is quite common. You can find a wide assortment<br />
available to you throughout your drug store shelves. When choosing which<br />
one to use, look for those that can work at your level of acne. For<br />
those that have mild or moderate levels, these can be quite beneficial in<br />
helping to slow or stop the acne. If you have sensitive skin or dry<br />
skin, there are specialty products that are available to you to use as<br />
well. In order for these products to work for you, though, you simply<br />
must use them on a regular basis as directed by the manufacturer.</p>
