it’s always better when you change it in your way…
yeahhhh it’s never enough of cinnamon…
    vinegar and milk=nice trick…
    red palm & canola oil=better colour…
and a little bit of cinnamon again, in sauce, better and better…
glass one is much better, cause you see what’s going on with the cake…
raisins, chocolate—>nuts–>almonds, brazilian, even dry roasted peanuts are great…
    yeahhh…it is fun…

I saw this video this morning, ran to the store to get the ingredients I didn’t have, and made this coffee cake. It was the best coffee cake I’ve ever had! And my family also loved it! THANK YOU!

Coffee cake is so named as it is coffee flavoured, this hasn’t got any coffee in it , so therefore technically not what I’d call a coffee cake

  6. lukemccaffrey says:

And to the person who said Vegans die earlier, get your facts right, vegans who eat correctly live longer heathier lives than people eat meat

Actually, there are 2 types of coffee cake. One that is made with coffee and has a coffee taste. And there’s the one that’s called coffee cake because it is served with coffee, like a dessert. This one is a recipe for the 2nd type I mentioned.

can i ask you how long this took? cause whenever i bake i somehow make a mess out of the kitchen and take 3 hours to make a 20 minute recipe lol

  9. antbekki says:

Well, this recipe has to bake for 50 minutes. But the prep work only took me about 15 minutes and I cleaned up while the coffee cake was in the oven, which only took me 10 minutes. I really is the best coffee cake I’ve ever had…I’ve made it twice in the past week! Good luck!

Some people think so unfortunately :( ( I love your name, VeganButterfly! :)

  11. Vegannibal says:

no… but some of them taste *better* than cow milk!! :) :) :) my favorite is Almond Breeze, especially the chocolate flavor.

  12. Vegannibal says:

    I LOL’ed HARDCORE, thank you!

  13. Vegannibal says:

Thank you so much! Since I posted that last comment, I also discovered Earth Balance buttery spread (vegan) and it’s fantastic, tastes better than margarine and butter ever did too. I’ve found out also that margarines are generally not vegan, they have those chemical-name type ingredients that are not vegan :(

I found out that coconut oil is fantastic in baking too.

    Thanks :)

Actually coffee cake is also defined as cake that is designed to compliment coffee, as in it goes well WITH coffee. It doesn’t necessarily contain it. (Look it up, you’ll see what I mean)

    Hi :)
i can’t get “egg replacer” here in my country, what another ingrediient can i use?
    Thanks !

  22. everydaydish says:

Try using 1 tablespoon soy flour (but add it in with the dry ingredients). Otherwise you can whisk together 1 tablespoon ground flax seed meal and 3 tablespoons hot water (let sit for a couple minutes and add in with the sugar and oil).

    Good luck!
